First of all, I want to wish all of my U.S. friends a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. We usually herald this weekend as the opening of the summer vacation season, the end of the school year in some parts of the country and for many others the remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Whatever you do this weekend, don't forget that Memorial Day isn't just an excuse for a day off from work or school. It's a time to honor those who died serving their country.
Several years ago, following my father's death, I posted this site as a tribute to him and to all of his generation. Like Daddy, many of them have left us and soon they will all be gone. Take a moment this weekend to remember and say thank you.
